Attention MMFD fic writers and readers:

I just wanted to take a minute to get a few thoughts out. It’s very important to me that people know they are appreciated in the world and the whole reason for this post is for the wonderfully talented MMFD fic writers to know that they are in fact appreciated! This post may seem out of the blue to some but to others you’ll understand where i’m coming from.

I’m writing this post because of the awful messages I have seen come across my dashboard directed at these lovely writers! It just makes me incredibly angry that these fucking amazing writers are getting demanding and rude messages about their fics. And it’s always something ridiculous too..they don’t like the way the story is written, don’t like the amount of smut, don’t like the way the smut is written, the dynamic of the characters, the way the characters are interacting, the sexual exploration that the characters partake in, when the fics are posted, whether or not the fic was posted when the author said it was going to be posted…I could honestly go on all day. NEWS FUCKING FLASH YA DICKHEADS! These writers work on THEIR SCHEDULES! Not yours! THEIRS! They write these stories, develop the story lines and characters how they see fit in their minds. and they post when they have the time and are feeling the creativity. I am in no way a writer so I haven’t the slightest idea how much time and thought goes into each story, but I do have conversations with some of these ladies and I’ve heard their struggles. They want to make the story perfect in their minds so they take the time they need to complete their ideas. I really wish people would just take a step back and really think about this for a minute. If you’re one of the people that sends demanding messages to these ladies, please stop and please learn a bit of patience. In fact, why don’t you try switching things up and start sending them praise. I try my best to message people or comment on their fics after I read it to let them know I enjoyed it or what I really loved about it. I have no idea if my comments make a difference to that person at all but I like to let them know that the time and effort they are taking to write these stories is really appreciated. And this rant may seem really silly to some people that may read it but it’s necessary in my eyes. I don’t like seeing people get rude anonymous messages.
