Good thanks, I finish work earlier on a Friday and I seem to have the house to myself so I watched Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist which I love :)

Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist is SOOOOO good. Can we organize a trans-Atlantic movie night between a group of us? Just hit “play” at the exact same time!

Hi everyone, with awesome film taste, who showed some interest in getting a global viewing of a movie on the go, specifically Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.  For those of you who don’t know I’m Steph and I never organise anything, because I am terribly disorganised, that being said if you guys all want to do this I don’t mind trying to get my butt into gear to be the point person.

The first hurdle of course is finding a time we are all free and awake!  The second is the best way to watch and chat at the same time.  I have checked the sites raernundo (which are basically my million pound idea so there goes the pony) suggested further up this post, and they look ideal for our purpose, but I am technologically inept so no idea how you get the film you want to watch on there, so any suggestions for how those sites work, or the best way to get this global viewing sorted are welcome :)

For now I’m tagging all of you who have previously reblogged/liked this post and if you want to get in on it just let me know where you are and what time zone.  My initial thought is if we are all MMFD fans maybe on a Monday when that would have been on, assuming we all managed to tune in for that live.

Well this escalated quickly and in such an unexpected/delightful way! TBH, when I first re-blogged Steph’s anon reply with the suggestion I was totally kidding. But HEYYYYYYYY - I like when far-fetched proposals turn into a reality. I checked out both of the sites, it looks like basically one of us would have to “host” the movie on our laptop. Everyone else would login (we would each have to create our own accounts, but both services are 100% free) and join a “room” together to watch. I think video-chatting is optional, but we can sort out the specifics of how to interact. 

I like the suggestion of doing it during a normal MMFD time, or we could also try for a Saturday when people might have more flexibility.
